Perhaps surprising to some is the close relationship between the runway and rugs. Understandably, not everyone would naturally associate the fashion of cutting edge couture with that of home furnishings. But then again, not everyone is Karastan.
Our designers study the high end looks that strut down the runway each Fashion Week for their latest muse and inspiration to help craft their vision for the season ahead. At the height of the fall fashion, we thought no better a time to give our readers a glimpse into how the season’s freshest fashion trends transcend past your closet walls and into our rug repertoire as well.
Jason Woo 2015 dress and our Fasney in Ash Grey from our Euphoria Collection
Gray is everywhere this season and we’re happily seeing no signs of its departure. The new neutral, gray elegantly compliments everything in both your wardrobe and your homes.
Tibi 2015 dress and our Marie Louise in Robin’s Egg from the Sierra Marr Collection
Head-to-toe pastel pairings paraded down fall’s fashion runways, with powder pink and sea foam stealing the show. Coined “cosmetics,” we’ve seen the soft stunners in seasons past and it looks like they’re back for more.
Rachel Zoe 2015 dress and our Ayr in Willow Grey from the Euphoria Collection
Mega Watt Metallics
Take the luxe trend off the runway and into your home with a lavish looking metallic piece like the Ayr in Willow Grey. The subtle sheen of its lustrous finish mirrors the metallic trend of the runways, while intentional distressed details offers just the right mix for a modern balance.
Alice + Olivia 2015 dress and our Mimosa Stripe in Caramel from the Prima Shag Collection
On the Fringe
Along with the resurgence of the 1970’s fringed fashions arrives the rug equivalent with sumptuous high pile shag styles. While fringe has been on the rebound for a couple seasons now, it is hot and heavy this fall with designers upping the ante even more! We invite you to bring fashion to the floor with one of our sensuous shags from the luxurious Prima Shag or After Five Shag collections.
Tory Burch 2015 outfit and our Petra rug from the new Spice Market Collection
In perfect step with the beat of 1970’s rhythm currently playing in the fashion world, a new bohemian rhapsody can also be heard. A refreshed take on boho styles with embellishments and glamour galore, this look steals its inspiration from across the globe and our Spice Market collection is right on cue!
